Harriet has just completed her second year as an Undergraduate Scholar at the Royal Academy of Music, where she is studying with Jennifer Dakin and Audrey Hyland. Her performing experience is already extensive, having recently undertaken principal roles with the Grim's Dyke Opera Company in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, Iolanthe and Yeomen of the Guard. Her oratorio concerts have included the role of Belinda and Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Haydn’s Creation, Nelson Mass and Little Organ Mass, Handel’s Messiah, St John Passion and Dixit Dominus, Mozart’s Requiem, Durufle's Reqiuem, Dvorak Mass in D, Rutter's Mass of the Children and Requiem, Jenkin's Requiem, Schubert's Mass in G and others. Harriet is very passionate about choral music and is grateful for the support and association she now holds as the resident soprano soloist for the 70 Chamber Choir of Thanet. Harriet has had masterclasses with Sir Willard White, James Gilchrist, Susan McCulloch, Margaret Humphrey Clark, Henry Herford, Robin Bowman, Elaine Kidd, Adrian Thompson and Lillian Watson. She has also been selected for numerous showcase public Masterclasses at the Royal Academy, with Barbara Bonney, the late Robert Tear and Sir Thomas Allen. Harriet participates in the prestigious eight year long series of the Bach Cantatas, which occur each month at the Royal Academy under the direction of Iain Ledingham.
